Take advantage of the internet and learn the guitar online! When you decide to start learning the guitar, it can be very disheartening. You want to play like a pro and they make it look SO easy! I have been playing the guitar for 16 years now and trust me, it is NOT that easy! That being said though, if you learn the guitar online, you are going to find just how easier it will be!
Here are three GREAT reasons why you should learn the guitar online instead of going through a traditional, private lesson -
First Great Reason -
The cost of a lesson is expensive! The average private guitar lesson is going to cost you upwards of $25…per HALF HOUR! Now how much do you suppose you are going to learn during two – half hour lessons? What about six – half hour lessons? For three hours of lessons, you have spent close to $150 and I can PROMISE you that you have barely scratched the surface of learning the guitar. Rest assured, if you want to learn the guitar online, it will cost you a heck of a lot less than $150!
Second Great Reason –
You can practice and learn from the comfort of your own home! I would much rather do everything out of my house – including guitar lessons. I am just much more comfortable at my own home as opposed to someone’s back room. Not to mention, you probably learn a lot more when you are comfortable as opposed to being uptight. Would you agree?
Third Great Reason –
You are not limited to a time constraint. What I have noticed is that people that go to a traditional instructor are more worried about cramming as much information in during that short period of time that they end up missing more than what they learned! You cannot really put a value on being comfortable when you learn the guitar online. Trust me, you are going to learn so much more, so much faster than you would if you went through a traditional instructor.
It’s ok if you don’t believe me. I would challenge you to do this – buy a block of lessons for a month. Once you are done with that one month, take note of what you learned. Then go and learn the guitar online. After another month, take note of what you’ve learned. I promise you that you are going to amazed at the difference!

There are few people in the world that can pick up a skill immediately and become a master without taking the time to practice. We generally consider these people to be geniuses or prodigies. For the rest of us, mastering a new skill takes a lot of time and a lot of effort. It also takes a lot of dedication because sometimes the time lag between starting and becoming proficient can seem entirely too long.
When it comes to learning how to play a musical instrument, practice is unbelievably vital. There is very little chance that the first time you pick up a cello or sit at a piano that you will be able to make a sound that even resembles music. But with a little time and effort, and the right instruction, you soon find that your practicing has paid off. This is true whether you play a classical instrument or want to learn guitar.
There is an old adage in the music community that you play the way that you practice. Essentially, this truism means that if you are lazy and sloppy when you practice then you will look lazy and sloppy when you perform. Regardless of what instrument you are trying to master, you need to practice effectively and actively. That is why practicing while you try to learn guitar is vital to your progress.
Of course there is much more to successful practicing than just sitting with your instrument and playing. In order to practice effectively you must sit down with a plan and have a structure to your session. Practicing should be goal oriented and lesson specific. Without a solid practice structure you will not be able to efficiently make progress. In fact, the benefits of practicing have nothing to do with the quantity of time and everything to do with the quality of planning.
Another key component to effective practicing is having the desire to play. If you are dreading your practice time, then it would be a good idea to re-evaluate your strategy. You will likely find that the program from which you are learning is not capturing your attention well enough, or that your practice strategy is lacking the excitement you need. Instead of allowing your motivation to lag, you should reevaluate and try to learn guitar through a new and more dynamic program.
If you are looking for more information on how to practice smarter rather than harder then check out the book The Art of Practicing. This instructional manual provides in-depth information and a step by step guide to the ultimate practice strategy. There is simply no better way to learn guitar. This learning system, as well as a selection of great essential tools, are available at http://www.guitarcoaching.com.

Below, I will discuss some of the methods and techniques you can use when learning how to play guitar. The good news, as guitar is a very popular instrument to learn, there is an abundance of great ways you can learn the guitar.
The first and most obvious learning resource is a guitar tutor. The benefits are numerous and you can ask your teacher questions and they can show you where you are going wrong. As you would expect, the cost of this method is the highest and in relation to the number of benefits it brings. The second method is to go to your local music shop and pick one of the many great books which can help you learn, you can get one of these for a relatively small amount of money. The third method is to learn how to play the guitar online, the choice is huge and it could be a totally free way of learning the guitar.
So, if you didn’t already know it there are hundreds of web sites which offer online guitar lessons, most of these come for free. If you are confused about which method to use or if you have decided to learn online the most important thing is to conduct your research properly. There are so many online guitar lessons to choose from but unfortunately, some are not as good as others. Make sure you choose a reliable one. Also, some courses cost money, be sure you are getting your money’s worth before you part with it.
The main benefit to learning the guitar online is the cost. As mentioned, you could save yourself a lot of money this way as face to face tuition can be costly. The important thing to note here is that with the choice of guitar lessons available online you needn’t compromise on quality either. It is more than likely that all of your guitar learning needs, especially in the early stages, can be fulfilled online.
Many talented guitarists are willing to share their knowledge through the Internet, which is easier than ever. Some of these guitarists have had extensive experience as guitar teachers so they know really know what they are talking about. Guitar teachers (if they are good ones) should be able to anticipate any problems you may have with a certain technique and include measures to prevent and troubleshoot them.
You can find online electric guitar lessons or online bass guitar lessons and you can even find tutorials which focus on particular genres of music. They come with video tutorials, animated graphics and can demonstrate sounds. A huge advantage to this method is that you are the master of your own learning. You can choose when you study and for how long, also, you can go at your own pace and rewind anything you don’t understand.

The Air guitar is used in the imaginary simulation of loud electric guitar music. It is a form of dance and movement in which the performer pretends to play rock or heavy metal style electric guitar solos. Playing an air guitar usually consists of exaggerated strumming and picking motions and is often coupled with loud singing or lip synching.
The first thing that however you should know about it is finding out what it is. It is not about just pretending to play guitar there is a lot more to it than that. It is a technique, a technique of expression through your movements, making it a visually pleasing experience. The importance of air-guitar for learning guitar increases here.
Knowing to play an air guitar can make experience of playing a guitar more enjoyable and along with a good environment set up that will assist you when you learn to play the guitar.
You will need to have a big room to practice in where you learn how to playing, as it can seem a little crazy sometimes. Try and clear all large objects out of the room and beware of anything overhead as many people have been injured when they first start to learn how to play air guitar. You will not need to worry about the noise created from this, as this is a silent art form.
There will be no real need for preparation, but one thing you might want to do is stretch a little and warm up as many muscles as you can, because it can get pretty physical when trying to learn it. Any serious injury could mean the end of the guitarist career and there are just not enough good guitarists in the world, so carefulness is really required while practicing it.
Learning to play an air guitar can bring about fitness. Some people do not realize the rock fitness is required when you are a guitarist. Guitar is very physically demanding instrument. Try to work out at least once a day to maintain peak physical fitness. You will need to focus most of the time on your arms as they will be used the most when you learn how to play air guitar
While practicing try and pick something with good guitar riffs and long solos, because it is not much fun when you are standing around waiting for your cue to start.
Now remember when you learn use it wisely as it can be a powerful tool that should not be taken lightly. Most people think the most important thing you should take away from this is that fitness. It is the one of the most important assets of an air guitarist and you will need to maintain good physical health. Most people may think that the rock n roll lifestyle is all fun and games, but it takes serious dedication to be any good.

[eba kw="learn%2Bthe%2Bguitar%2Bonline" num="1" ebcat=""] Learn the Guitar Online – TODAY!
I am so glad that you made it here because it probably means that you want to learn the guitar online. That is great! There are so many different upsides to learning the guitar online versus through traditional means such as private lessons. While there are plenty of reasons why people chose to learn the guitar online, here are my top three reasons to what makes online guitar lessons so easy and convenient -
1. As I just mentioned – it’s convenient!
When I first started learning the guitar, it was in the winter time. Now living in the Midwest, it was a real drag getting dressed up to drive ten miles for a 30 minute lesson. I spent just as much time getting ready and driving than I did actually learning the guitar!
As I got a bit older, I realized just how convenient it was to learn the guitar online. Not only did I not have to go anywhere, but I was able to review all of my lessons at any time of day or night.
Now that’s convenience at its best!
2. It is SOOOO much cheaper than traditional lessons!
I did the math the other day and if I had wanted to take private guitar lessons today, I would spend about $600! Now that would be for two lessons a week (a total of an hour) for three months. I would be getting around 12 hours of lessons. That’s not too bad except when you think about how much it will cost you to learn the guitar online. Some programs out there will give you closer to 20+ hours of lessons for about 10% of that!
I don’t know about you, but $60 sounds a heck of a lot better than $600! You are getting the same quality lessons for just a small portion of what traditional lessons will cost you!
3. It is a lot easier to remember what you learned!
Unfortunately, I spent a lot of my lessons just wondering how much more time I had left before I was done. This actually took away from the learning I should have been doing. It’s natural however. When we are rushed or pressured, we tend to forget a lot more than we remember. This is probably the biggest upside in choosing to learn the guitar online. You can go back and revisit anything that you may have forgotten about.
And the best part? It won’t cost you any additional money!
Well, I hope that I have explained why I feel that choosing to learn the guitar online has so many more upsides than traditional lessons.
Thanks for reading and I wish you the best of luck in your guitar adventures!

Every newbie guitar player faces the following question: “What’s the absolute best way for me to learn guitar?” Should you should learn it yourself or hire a professional? Which guitar courses are recommended most often? What about those Internet based guitar training sites?
These are all valid questions because how you learn to play the guitar is just as important as what you learn to play. Teaching yourself how to play might work just fine if you’ve got a good ear and some previous exposure to music theory or proficiency on another instrument.
If you are a “newbie” to playing any instrument,it would be a good idea to get a teacher — or — join an online program where you can interact with several teachers as well as fellow students. In fact, I would recommend finding at least one ‘mentor’ or a ’study buddy’ to learn with even if you lean towards teaching yourself.
Why?
In short, you learn more and make more progress faster than you would in isolation because you’ll be exposed to alternative ways of thinking about your approach to the guitar. Other players can share tips and techniques you have never seen before, as well as help you overcome a problem area that they’ve already mastered.
Ultimately, though, the question of how to learn guitar is up to you and your choice should be guided by consideration of your own unique situation. The following list of questions should help you make a solid decision:
1. How much can I afford to spend on lessons, books, etc, and how much am I willing to invest to get started?
2. How do I learn best? For example, can you pick up concepts easily just by reading about them, or do you prefer to have audio and video demonstrations you can follow along with?
3. Am I looking to learn a specific style of guitar such as Classical, Blues or Jazz? You’ll still need to learn basic music theory for any style of music, but you might want to look for instruction that focuses on teaching the theory in one of these contexts.
4. How much time can I allocate to practice? This is very important if you’re considering on hiring a guitar teacher. Most teachers will require you to master a lesson before moving on to the next one.
You’ll still be paying for those lessons even when you aren’t making much progress. So, if you’re strapped for time, I recommend investing in a home-study or online couse. This will give you a 24/7 access to the information you need away from your regular guitar lessons.
5. How ‘good’ of a player do I want to be? If guitar is just a hobby for you, then you’ll likely do well with just about any method of instruction. If you want to go pro or start a band, though, you should learn from as many different sources as possible.
